User talk:Robin Patterson
From go.org.nz
At the 2007 AGM of the NZGS, members voted to take over the costs and maintenance of the site from Corrin Lakeland. I (Graeme Parmenter) offered to help reorganise and provide new content for the website and Brian Kwok has offered to help do the maintenance. I'm still getting my head around Wiki structures though, so I will take a little while to get up to speed. I look forward to interacting with you (Robin) in helping to reshape the site, which I see as crucial to the future development of go in NZ. Give me a few days to think about structural issues and I'll come back with more substantive comments. (2007-09-19T10:38:00 Graemep)
Hi Robin,
Do you think it would help if I installed some anti-spam things on the website? Which ones would you recommend?
Hi, the link on my page should work now. Also, could I become an admistrator?
Edwin
Hi Robin
I just joined the site. I took up go again last year after not playing for 17 years, and play sometimes on KGS.
I have a lot of ancient historical stuff relating to NZGS including old records of committees and things, graphs of ranks, old newsletters, photos of events and WAGC and other events in Japan etc. If you want I can load some of this stuff to the site for posterity. I just yesterday found an old photo of Otake going over a WAGC game with me - what a wonderful thing to have happen. Let me know how much stuff you would like loaded and what things are of interest and what to call the pages etc as I am fairly new to this site.

Thanks for making the 1982 WAGC page look much better with the photo rearrangement. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until after creating a similar one on Opito Go Fest. :-) RayTomes 01:29, 4 August 2008 (PDT)
Hi Robin
Please tell me which of these you think are worth putting some effort into:
1. I have a bunch of old newsletters - could scan to PDF format and put on site as "historical documents" if thought worthwhile.
2. I have some interesting problems on cards and books from Japan (but may be copyright I suppose) - do we want some problems on the site?
3. I started a book and kept some records from 1987 to 1989 of tournament results in NZ. Are these useful? (Ak, Wn, NZ etc)
4. I have some old game records (just hand written on go board sheet) from 1980s - are any of these worth posting? (e.g. Kyle beating me up in Go Kichi challenge).
Regards Ray
