2021 World Amateur Go Championship 'in' Vladivostok - do you want to be our representative

We recently received details of the 41st World Amateur Go Tournament, to be held in Vladivostok, Russia on June 2-10, 2021 - and Online.
The timeframe for registration is quite short - 20 April - People towards the top of the WAGC points list have been invited, but no-one has indicated interest so now we are asking all new Zealand players. Please let me know if you want to participate in the tournament or not by April 18. The person highest on our WAGC points list and is eligible will be our representative. (To be eligiable you must be a New Zealand Citizen)
I have heard the Russian Go federation is aiming to make this very special - and they will pay half the airfare and all your costs during the tournament! - If you can organise to get there and play in person rather than online :-(

Yes, even in such a difficult situation in the world, due to the restrictions of COVID-19, we are waiting for your representatives in Vladivostok. According to the current rules, participants of international sports competitions can receive a special invitation from the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and receive a visa to Russia. Please learn more about your opportunity to visit Russia on the webpages of Russian consulates in your countries.
Even if your representative won't manage to come to Vladivostok because of any reason, he/she can take part in the WAGC online. The 41st WAGC will happen in a mixed format: offline and online at the same time.

Parallel to 41st WAGC will be held the Go tournament Russian Сup which is open for everyone. Also there will be the Go festival "Genius extreme" for all citizens and guests of the city Vladivostok.

3. Travel and Accommodation Expenses (during the event)
We shall be responsible for the following expenses for the 77 players and 4 guest officials.
- 50% of travel expenses (air ticket) to get to Vladivostok
- Transportations to and from international airport "Vladivostok"
- Accommodation: 8 nights from 2 June to 10 June 2021
- Meals: from dinner on 2 June to breakfast on 10 June
