Dear Go Players,

We are thrilled to extend to you an official invitation to theĀ first International Children's Go Tournament, exclusively for young enthusiasts aged 7 to 18. This prestigious event promises to be an extraordinary gathering of budding Go talents from around the globe.

Event Details:

  • Date: November 30, 2023 - December 6, 2023
  • Venue: Quzhou Grand Garden International Hotel
    Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China

We are honored to have our esteemed ex-president, Kevin Liu, accompanying and leading the team. It is recommended for parents to accompany their children if possible.

Prizes for the Main Event:
The top six teams will be awarded the following (pre-tax):

  1. First Place: 30,000 RMB
  2. Second Place: 20,000 RMB
  3. Third Place: 10,000 RMB
  4. Fourth to Sixth Places: 5,000 RMB each

Additionally, all winners will receive trophies, certificates of honor, and bonuses to celebrate their achievements.

Reimbursement & Accommodation:
In appreciation of your participation:

  • Airfare costs will be reimbursed for each participant up to 10,000 RMB.
  • Accommodation at the Quzhou Grand Garden International Hotel is taken care of.

Preliminary Selection Tournament:
In preparation for the main event, we are hosting a preliminary tournament on Sunday, 22nd of October in Te Atatu South, Auckland, to identify and select the top two talented young participants. Given the excellence he demonstrated by winning the Auckland Open last year, we've already chosen Jerry Lei as our first participant. This means there are two coveted spots open for young prodigies to join the ranks!

Due to the schedule, we will be holding the eventĀ 

Registration Details:

  • Last Date for Registration: Friday, 20th of October
  • Eligibility Age: 7 to 18 years

Remote Participation Requirements:
To maintain the integrity and transparency of the tournament for all participants, those competing remotely are required to record a video of their room throughout the duration of their match. The recording should clearly show both the player and their computer screen. This measure ensures fairness and transparency for every participant.
