NZGS 2024 Open Championship

The qualifying tournament for the Quzhou International Children's Tournament in China was held last week. Seven players competed: Jerry Lei, Tianze Wang, Eric Chen, Avery Wang, Louis Liu, Will Gui and Chris Li. Jerry won with a perfect record. Tianze, Eric and Avery all lost just one game. Tianze and Eric were ahead on SOS (Sum of opponents scores) so our team is Jerry, Tianze and Eric. Congratulations to them and thanks to everyone who was in the tournament.

 

 

Just a week now until our 2024 NZ Championship. Register this weekend if you want to get a tournament t-shirt as we have to place our order on Monday. Late registrations are accepted right up to Saturday morning, you'll just miss out on the shirt.

 

The tournament is being held at SASIT, Greenlane, Auckland but you can also play online if you live too far away to come to the venue.

Handicap division has been removed

- The invitation was for 3 divisions, however there are no entries for the Handicap division, so we have withdrawn that division as there will not be enough players.
