international pair go tournament

Dear Go Players,

The world pair go tournament is coming up, it runs from August 7th to 11th, and an invite has been made to Australasia.  Technically there are two tournaments, the main one and the 'student' one at the same time - see the attachments.

Because this is one pair between two countries, it could be we go at the expense of Australia, decline the invite and leave it to Australia, or we do a joint application with someone from Australia and someone from NZ.

Historically interest has bene relatively low, perhaps because we don't have enough female players.  So if you are interested then please get in contact.  We have had applications in the past from friends, couples, and a parent with a child.  I have deliberately sent this invite to everyone, including men, because I think it's important for everyone to be aware of that this tournament is an option.

The application needs to be in by early May so please get in contact ASAP if you might be interested.  

In the event that there is more than one pair interested in attending, we will select who to go based on WAGC points.  Note that applicants must be NZ (or Australian) citizens.
