The tournament had a small field - but tough - it seemed tough to me anyway! After five rounds we ended up with four people with four wins from five games:

  • Yao Lu (Robyn)
  • Chahine Koleejan
  • Jimmy Yuan
  • Longyang Li

We could not play two more rounds to find a winner, so they were declared equal champions.

A beginner's division was also held and was won by Tom Liu. Congratulations to all the winners!

The main tournament will have 5 rounds over Saturday and Sunday.
Beginners have two events: A 9x9 even game tournament and a 9x9 handicap tournament, both on Sunday.

Entry cost $30 for the open, $20 for beginners.

New Zealand rules will be used.
Time control: 1hr 15 minutes allowed for each player and 30 seconds byo-yomi

Lunch, tea, and coffee will be provided


Payment and registration Saturday morning 9am
